Cake Decorating doesn’t have to be expensive, the more you practice, the more things you can make yourself. Invest in a few basic tools such as a turntable, a good nylon rolling pin, and some cake smoothers. Also get a cheap set of plastic heart, star and blossom cutters. Everything else you can model in icing, and finish with the hearts, stars or blossom. Once you have your basic kit, you can use it over and over again, then add to your collection as you go along – any hobby needs a little investment to be worthwhile!
